MICA

Your first stop for healthcare.
Doctor review coming soon.

Your health,
explained.

Each card shows one possible cause, why it fits what you described, and the medical sources behind it. You go through it with your doctor*.

* MICA suggests. Your doctor confirms.

Backed by real evidence*

One possible cause, up close

A MICA health card for one possible cause, 22q11.2 deletion syndrome

* 502,490 likelihood ratios across 10,201 conditions, derived from HPO and Orphanet annotations. 0 clinically reviewed.

Every number on this card is real output from MICA, for a sample case.

Every part, explained

Scroll to see what each part of the card means, highlighted on the card as you go.

  1. How strongly it points
  2. Where the fact comes from
  3. A tie
  4. What you do not have
  5. No guessed percentage
  6. Your doctor's sign-off
  7. What to check next
× 12.9664A cleft palate multiplies the odds of this condition by about 13. MICA multiplies these together to put the possibilities in order.
ORPHA:567Every fact names the medical database it came from, so you or your doctor can check it.
= TiedTwo possibilities scored exactly the same, so MICA shows them side by side instead of picking one.
Seizures: no"She has no seizures" counts too. On this card it changes nothing (× 1.0); on many others, what you do not have lowers the odds.
No percentageMICA will not invent a percentage. It shows you the evidence instead.
Doctor sign-offYour doctor checks the card and signs off before anything is final.
On the backThe back of every card names the one thing worth checking next, to narrow it down with your doctor.

Every fact,
sourced.

How it works

Your first stop, for anything.

01You describe it

Just say what is wrong.

In your own words, any time, from anywhere. No forms and no medical terms. A parent can type it exactly the way they would say it to a friend.

02Emergencies first

If it could be serious, it says so first.

Before anything else, MICA checks for warning signs, like chest pain with trouble breathing. If it finds one, it stops and tells you to call emergency services right away.

03Possible causes

It works out what it could be.

A rash that will not go away or symptoms that do not add up: MICA checks 10,201 conditions, including rare ones that are easy to miss, and shows which fit and why.

04A doctor checks it · Coming soon

A doctor reviews it.

Once our pilots begin, a licensed physician will see what you wrote, every possible cause and the evidence behind it. They make the call, and nothing is final until they sign off.

05Prescriptions · Coming soon

When you need medicine.

MICA drafts the prescription from what you told it. A licensed physician reviews and signs it. Sending it straight to your pharmacy is coming soon.

The evidence

What every card is built on.

Every number on a MICA card comes from public medical databases. Nothing is invented, and every link names the source it came from.

Sources: the Human Phenotype Ontology and Orphanet.
